MISSION STATEMENT:
Grounded in the Diocesan vision, the Office of Small Faith Communities is committed to the development, support and networking of parishes and people as small faith communities so as to “support our commitment to impact family, neighborhood and society” [Diocesan Vision : Organizational Structures] To accomplish this mission, each parish must become more and more
“a community of communities” with people living deeply committed faith lives.
It is the goal of the Office of Small Faith communities (OSFC) to:
· Provide on-going education and formation through workshops, consultations and a specialization course in the MFI program,
· Assist parishes in the formation of small faith communities,
· Serve as a resource for parishes on small faith communities,
· Support and facilitate the development of leadership and networking of small faith community parish coordinators and other small faith communities in each vicariate.
Small Faith Communities
A small faith sharing group is usually a group of people who meet twice a month for the purpose of becoming a community through the shared belief in Jesus Christ and the loving guidance of the Holy Spirit.
